About Adam Hefetz
Dr. Adam Hefez is a historian specializing in aspects of Zionism, Israel’s history and the history of the Middle East. Hefetz received both his PhD in Jewish History and his MA in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies from the University of Haifa. Hefetz wrote his doctoral dissertation on Bank Leumi, one of Israel’s largest banks established by the Zionist Organization in 1903. Hefetz also has a strong background in Middle Eastern history, having written his master’s thesis on the Israeli-Egyptian peace process.

ASU Jewish Studies announces faculty addition and leadership award
Arizona State University (ASU) Jewish Studies recently added a new faculty member from Israel for the next academic year. Professor Adam Hefetz is a historian specializing in aspects of Zionism, Israel and Middle East history and will teach two courses next fall about the Middle East: “Modern Middle East’’ and “The History of Zionism: From its Origins to the Establishment of the State of Israel.”
Postdoctoral scholar joins ASU Jewish studies to teach about Israel, the Middle East
Beginning fall 2024, Adam Hefetz will join the faculty of Arizona State University's School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies to provide historical information and context about the Middle East and current conflicts.
